This is an 8-hr. ice rescue technician class. Students will participate in a four-hour interactive classroom session. Then, after lunch students will participate in the practical ice rescue training. Students will execute self-rescue, go rescues, and go rescues with a craft.

Suits and gear provided with heated changing trailer. Students are welcome to utilize their departments suits and gear if they choose.

This is a 16-hr. course designed to make you become a valuable Ice Rescue Technician Instructor. We offer three master instructors to create a great instructor to student ratio throughout the class. Students will learn and master the fundamentals of ice rescue themselves, and teach these fundamentals during class. Students will teach and learn the fundamentals on solid ice. Students will also conduct mock rescue on unstable ice. Students will have access to 22 suits from 4 major manufacturers and the use of the Rapid Deployment Craft (RDC).

Ice rescue is a comparatively easy skill, training is necessary to improve your odds of safe and successful rescue. If your looking for a sales pitch with extravagate equipment, unrealistic techniques, and information that you will never use. This class is not for you.
